They are part of the 10 volume set called Rhythm + Color, published in the mid 60’s. Each canvas bound book was created by a different author and each volume portrays a theme playing a major role in the life and works of each great artist.
Each book also contains 30 individual color plates that were selected based on their artistic value, historical meaning, and their importance in the work of the artist.
One of the fun things I love about these books is that they still have their original library catalog card on the inside cover.
